The home is in rough shape and will surely require a lot of work to renovate, but it's in a desirable and eclectic neighborhood and properties in the surrounding beachside communities command top dollar. Can Tarek and Christina transform this house from the worst on the block to the showpiece by the beach, or could a ballooning budget prove this diamond in the rough to be a lump of coal?

Synopsis
Tarek and Christina El Moussa buy distressed properties -- foreclosures, short sales and bank-owned homes -- remodel them and sell them at a profit. At least, that's the way it's supposed to work. Track the El Moussas' roller-coaster journey in each episode, beginning with a cash purchase at auction of a home -- often sight unseen -- and the fix-it-up process, to the nail-biting wait to find a buyer.
